Love is the most powerful ingredient to everything…

We lost Tim in 2023 after a long battle with addiction. A reality so many people have faced here in our city. On his birthday I always share this video, his message to the world. Let it be a reminder to us all that love, compassion and empathy are the only thing that will continue to propel humanity forward.

Even during his darkest days Tim held onto his love for others, his desire to befriend all and show kindness to those society has deemed disposable or less than.

Tim was a good man, a father of two, a brother, a son and a broken man. He came from a good home with love and security and his life still took a turn that ultimately destroyed him. Addiction is no joke, addiction is not a choice-it is a disease that peels away the body, mind and soul.

I see him in his boy’s smiles, every act of kindness, every sunset…I see him in every folded body and outstretched hand on the street corner.

Like every person dealing with addiction he was so much more than an addict. He was good. He loved and was so incredibly loved.
