Houses practically sell themselves in this market! Why would anyone need a Realtor??
That's a fair question, and I love this story -
A good friend of mine, and past client, had a family member who had inherited the home of another close family member that had unfortunately passed away. Their intention was to sell it for sale by owner at the suggestion of some other friends/family. The home hadn't been updated in quite a while and needed a lot of repairs. The new owner didn't want to sink money into it, nor did they enjoy going to the home because of how emotional it made them.
My friend convinced them to talk with me and explained how I had helped him and how happy he was in the end. They decided to hire me. I took care of everything. I connected them with Alissa Agnoli from Caring Transitions who catalogued all of the belongings in the home, held an estate sale and cleaned the home to be photo-ready. I hired a professional photographer to take photos, marketed the home to my buyers list of real estate investors, managed 50 showings and feedback over just 2 days, negotiated 12 offers and gave them guidance on the pros and cons of each offer before they finally chose one for $15,000 over asking and closed in just one week after listing.
Luckily for me, the sellers were very happy with the results, baked me tons of incredible cookies, and expressed how happy they were that they didn't decide to sell it themselves.
My goal is always to have sellers who are actually happy when they pay my commission. I appreciate the opportunity to have been able to help this family.
