I first worked as a lift operator in the bike park at Fernie Alpine Resort and met all sorts of people from all over the world. I fell in love with Fernie that summer, even though I had already spent a lot of time here skiing as a kid. I had planned to go back to Edmonton that fall but instead stayed here to work with the Fernie Alpine Ski Team and I’ve never looked back! There are many things Fer
nie has to offer that I truly love: amazing mountain biking and world class skiing top the list. The people are incredible, the amenities are plenty and you can get all of your daily chores done without having to drive far or sit in traffic. My personal favorite thing about this town is that it is a great place to raise a family! I have two young boys and I get really excited about the life they will have growing up here. They will be able to spend most of their time outdoors, exploring and learning in nature. The opportunities are endless and I look forward to sharing my love for Fernie with newcomers, long time locals, tourists, young families and anyone else I have the pleasure of meeting.
