Being a business owner is one of my favourite roles, but being a Mom will always be #1 🩵

Today my little sidekick turned 9.

If you know him, you know he’s obsessed with anything spooky. Halloween isn’t a day of the year in our house… it’s a personality trait 😂 So when I found out Spirit Halloween was opening on his birthday, I knew we had to make it happen.

A huge thank you to Bill & Wendy Rockwell at Spirit Halloween for helping make his birthday one he’ll remember for a lifetime. It’s moments like this that remind me why I love supporting local businesses. Behind every business are real people who care, and that’s something I’ll always stand by.

Finally coming up for air after what feels like a bit of a whirlwind the last couple of weeks - from firming up deals, to new listings, and travelling across Alberta to visit my team.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on how lucky I am to be surrounded by such incredible people.

Building a company is never a solo journey, and I’m constantly reminded that the people you choose to build alongside matter so much. Getting to work with those who share the same values, believe in the vision, challenge each other, support each other, and are genuinely just awesome humans to be around… that’s something I never take for granted.

Thank you for believing in me, believing in this crazy idea of expanding People 1st Realty across Canada, and being willing to come along for the ride.

We’re building something really special, and I feel so blessed that I get to do it with this group (and this is only some of them) 🩵

Spending a few days at the Calgary Stampede representing the Fort McMurray Real Estate Board as Chair alongside Board leaders from across Alberta.

We had some great conversations yesterday with the Alberta Real Estate Association around organized real estate and the future of our industry.

One of my favourite parts of leadership roles like this is the relationships you build along the way. It’s been great connecting with people from across the province, hearing different perspectives, and learning from others who care deeply about this industry too.

A few more meetings today before some family time and enjoying everything Stampede has to offer this evening.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent Fort McMurray at the provincial table.
