Southwest Surveys field crews are currently completing extensive topographic surveys at a number of busy intersections throughout New Brunswick. Our crews have also been active along the highway between Moncton and Fredericton in preparation for upcoming construction projects.

🚦To help keep both our crews and the travelling public safe, we regularly partner with traffic control support while this work is underway.

🚗Survey crews often work only a few feet from moving vehicles while collecting critical field data.

⚠️If you see surveyors, traffic control personnel, or roadside crews at work, please slow down, stay alert, and follow traffic control direction.

A little extra attention behind the wheel goes a long way in helping everyone stay safe!

Total station only today!

A significant space-weather event meant GNSS conditions are far from ideal. Based on yesterday’s forecast (screen capture below), our crew adjusted their workplan early and pivoted accordingly for today's work.

Staying ahead of these conditions matters—especially on days like today, when we are hearing that other crews in the area are unable to obtain even a basic reliable GPS signal to work with.
