Do you want to learn more about carbon in your forest? The NB Federation of Woodlot Owners invites you to join us for our Forest Carbon Informational Workshop.

This workshop will cover topics such as an intro to carbon in forests, the capture and storage of carbon along with the current state of the carbon market.

This free workshop aims to equip private woodlot owners with important information and considerations when contemplating participating in a forest carbon project.

Happy National Forest Week!

Forests are fundamental to our economy, culture, traditions and history – and to our future. Communities, families and individuals depend on forests for their livelihood and way of life.

This week was first established in the 1920s as Forest Fire Prevention Week with an intention to encourage the greater public awareness towards Canada’s forest. It was renamed to National Forest Week in 1967 to better reflect the diversity of human and environmental aspects of Canada’s forest resources – past, present and future.

Join us in celebrating the importance of Canada’s forest!

Bonne semaine nationale de l’arbre et des forêts !

De nombreuses communautés, un grand nombre de familles et milliers de personnes dépendent des forêts pour leur subsistance et leur mode de vie.

Cette semaine a été créée pour la première fois dans les années 1920 sous le nom de « Semaine de la prévention des feux de forêt » dans le but de sensibiliser davantage le public aux forêts du Canada. Elle a été renommée « Semaine nationale de l’arbre et les forêts » en 1967 pour mieux refléter la diversité des aspects humaines tant qu’environnementaux des ressources forestières du Canada qu’ils soient du passé, du présent ou de l’avenir.
