Winter is here and if you live in a cold climate like we do, sadly, your entryway will not look like a magazine spread. The reality is all of our wet winter gear (mitts, toques, boots etc.) needs a place to dry. 🥾🧤🧣
Here are 8 inexpensive or DIY solutions that you can try so that you are not left with heaps of wet gear lying around your lovely entryway:
1. Create an over-the-register dryer using scrap wood, PVC pipe or wire.
2. Use a foldable or retractable drying rack placed near your heat source.
3. Create a clothespin drying station.
4. Use a wire magazine rack to store and dry wet gear.
5. Tree branches naturally have lots of "arms" perfect for hanging.
6, Use an over-the-door shoe rack for a low profile, maximum storage option.
7. Ladders are not just for trendy blanket or towel storage but are great for clothes drying too.
8. Create a peg board to hang on the wall above your register. In the winter, it is the perfect place to hang your wet gear. During the rest of the year, you have a lovely, multi-functional, adaptable storage area.
