Hello all, we are looking for clothing donations for our upcoming 2SLGBTQIA+ youth summer camp. We are planning to put on a thrifted fashion show! 🏳️‍🌈‼

If anyone has any clothing lying around whether it's new or well-loved—that is vibrant, glittery, or totally unique, we would love to take it off your hands as a donation for an upcoming youth project! We are looking for expressive pieces of any kind, including dresses, shirts, pants, vests, skirts, shorts, scarves, or hats.👗👚

If you are able to donate anything we are available to pick it up or if you prefer you can come in and drop it off at our location. We really appreciate all of the help from our community. Thank you. ❤

📜Just an update that at this time we have stopped collecting children's toys.

🙌Thank you GP for your overwhelming response to the need.

‼️A reminder that we do not take housewares or furniture.

We are focused on the following:
✔️clothing (especially adult, mens, and undergerments) 👕👖🧦🩲
✔️adult shoes and boots🥾👞👟🩴
✔️outside gear like jackets, hats and mits 🧣🧤
✔️unused hygiene items 🪥🧼🎒
✔️non perishable foods 🥫🫘

❗️UPDATE: LOCATION CHANGED❗️

Looking for some outside activity time? Look no further - we will be at GRANDE PRAIRIE FRIENDSHIP CENTRE TRADITIONAL HEALING GARDEN next Thursday to plant & learn about the plants in the garden, have a fire, and of course, eat snacks (We may be roasting them over the fire 😜)!

It is completely free, and no registration required. If you have any questions at all, please reach out and we will be happy to assist.

Our Beyond the Binary 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly youth summer camp is now open for registration! We have lots of arts and crafts, water games, and more planned for the camp. It is free and open to all youth ages 13-17, July 6-10th from 8:00AM - 4:00PM. ❤🎨🏳️‍🌈

Doing some spring cleaning in your pantry? Helping Hands would love to give your extra items a second home! Before you toss it out, take a look through your cupboards and consider donating unopened, unexpired food items to help support individuals and families in our community.

We are especially grateful for:

🍝 Pasta & pantry staples
🧴 Unused/unopened hygiene products

Please join the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre for the Annual MMIR 5KM Walk/Run tomorrow, May 5th.

To honour and remember as we raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.
All are welcome—wear red if you can, and walk or run at your own pace. ❤️

Red Dress Bead Kits will be available for those who wish to create and carry this reminder with them.
