We’ve still been booked solid,

We asked AI to add some spring time touches to two photos, and instead, they were combined and the Easter bunny threw up all over it 🤣👌🏽

We are here to share that the house DOES NOT in fact look like this, despite the hype that spring has FINALLY started springing and we are seeing a break with opening dates for this exciting transition from winter filled with chocolate eggs, maple syrup, and the sounds of birds and drips from the melting snow in the sunlight from a patio somewhere.

Just an FYI, those sounds of spring are absolute fire from the hot tub with a craft beer 👌🏽

Change of scenery at our favourite place. So bring your favourite people and enjoy making our favourite place your favourite place too. The antique saw really tied the living space together and moving the photo to the bedroom just feels complete.

As for our rink, it’s finally skateable BUT still bumpy. Looking forward to attempting a blast with the tiger torch tomorrow after a good flood today 👌🏽

I bet you’re wondering how frustrated we were after a fresh flood the other day just to return and see our last guests took a stroll right through it.

Despite the extra work, we’ve flooded it once more and we’re looking forward to the colder temps this week to keep going - with major thanks to our current guests staying a week who are allowing us access to maintain throughout their stay.

Can’t wait for a success story out of this one.

Dad, I mean Santa, made us a pretty cool custom sign - PLUS, this is the closest we’ve ever been to actually having a usable rink. We had some wildly cold temps that allowed us to flood but it flooded in ripples and weird layers.. so today, we tackled it again and then it started snowing. Tomorrow we are into 0 temps again and trust us when we say this, we’re annoyed. Hoping we can really get a good handle on this soon and take the tiger torch to it for perfection 👌🏽

Hot tub and sauna are still mint though 💁🏼‍♀️

‘Tis the season for gauging I guess 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please know that these increases are not us. We walk away with 3% less than the nightly rate, and 3% less of the cleaning fee - which goes to the cleaners and maintenance.

Feed the deer, enjoy the hot tub, roll in the snow, jump in the sauna, and (hopefully 🤞🏽) enjoy our rink in the coming days.

We’ve been flooding diligently but have found ourselves defeated by another hole in the tarp and difficulties catering to a consistent fix between fighting the weather and labouring between turnovers. We’ve had to hard pack everything with snow/slush and layer up from there - making for a much longer process, but we’re going for it.

So while we were there today, frustrated beyond believe and shovelling slush, layering areas, and then sinking in spots getting super cold feet, having the deer come right up to the door made for a pretty reassuring New Year.

We still have some dates in Jan and one weekend left in Feb up for the taking. Link in our bio to book
