This sale came with mixed emotions. Deciding to leave a place that has meant so much is never easy, and we know this was a significant chapter coming to a close. In 1997, while touring properties around Kennisis Lake, a floatplane carrying one of the founding members of the Greater Haliburton Team and Canadian musician Tom Cochrane flipped during an emergency landing on a beach.
Thankfully, everyone walked away safely.
