Hello there. How about a quick update from KTK?

June’s been busy.

Cost calculations for the homes at our development project are nearly complete and we'll soon put the designs on our website for clients to peruse.

We have some buyers who can’t find a home due to Nova Scotia's property crisis. Hopefully, our development projects will help. We're also working on manufactured homes since they're easier to cost and build. We’ll keep you updated as we move forward.

Our office opens in July. The team awaits furniture and other necessities to ensure a comfortable and productive workspace.

This month we helped several families find and move into their perfect homes, with more expected to settle in in July.

We've also made professional layout measurements in PDF and DWG format for a restaurant.

Summer started off rough.

Around 150 homes, including our own, were razed by the wildfire that began on May 28 in our neighborhood off Hammonds Plains Road.

When allowed back to the area a few days ago, it was sad to see a large part of our life buried under the rubble of our first home in Canada. Happy memories, reduced to ashes.

The fire destroyed not just our homes, but also the beautiful green surroundings. We've been talking to neighbors, and we all agreed greenery was an important part of our lives here. A huge loss for our community.

We'll see if there is a fundraising initiative for reforesting Hammonds Plains, and if not, we will organize one. We will seek government support and commit 2% of our net profit towards regreening our neighborhood. Together, we can bring it back.

In September 2022, Katherine Tarateski, Real Estate, Nova Scotia and I changed our careers and part time real estate activities to the full time dedication to Nova Scotia Housing.

We became a one-stop shop for all things real estate, combining my property management expertise with Katherine’s expertise in buying, selling, and renting: Katherine Tarateski, as a real estate professional with RE/MAX nova, and KTK Real Estate Service - company I own, that provides most of the services related to the real estate, including property management, project management and new construction management). We provide all the tools necessary to find, build, manage, or invest in a home.
