Jazmin made a meaningful impact across our construction and design teams this summer, bringing her carpentry background, technical knowledge, and a hands-on approach to every challenge.

Creating meaningful opportunities for students is something we’re proud to do through our partnership with Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC and the Southwest Properties 'Building Our Future' Sponsorship. Each year, the sponsorship provides students across a diverse range of programs with financial support and opportunities to gain hands-on experience through work terms at Southwest. Jazmin was one of this year’s sponsorship recipients. Since 2022, we’ve been proud to support 12 students through the sponsorship.

An exciting milestone for FORTUNA on Lucknow!

Our redevelopment project on Lucknow Street saw the arrival, mobilization and installation of the tower crane on site last week, marking the beginning of the next phase of construction.

Coming in 2028, FORTUNA on Lucknow will feature 174 rental suites and all the amenities you need to live well.

This week, our summer students had the opportunity to take the stage and share the IMPACT they’ve made this summer during their time at Southwest.

Through a series of short presentations, our students shared the projects and initiatives they contributed to, the challenges they worked through and the skills they developed along the way. We were incredibly impressed by the thought, confidence and professionalism each student brought to their presentation, and to hear about the meaningful contributions they’ve made across our teams, properties and organization this summer.
