The average price of homes sold in Canada in September 2013 was $385,906 as compared to $354,608. A 6% increase in sales price nationally. In Halifax/Dartmouth, the average sale price of homes in September 2013 was $268,286, as compared to $262,126 in September 2012.

The sale price has still increased year on year both locally and nationally, although the slower market in Halifax would reflect a softer increase in prices.
