The last visit at Nonna's house.

The smell of homemade meals no longer drifted from the kitchen. The television no longer hummed from the living room. The laughter, conversations, and familiar voices that once filled every corner became memories instead.

What was once a home slowly became a house. Because she isn't there. It isn't the same.

The rooms feel bigger now. Empty in a way that only a place filled with so much life can feel when that life is gone.

And yet, while the house is changing hands, the memories never will.

This home gave our family years of celebrations, traditions, comfort, love, and countless moments that shaped who we are. Every room holds a story. Every corner carries a memory. Those things cannot be sold, packed away, or left behind.

We lock the door one final time, leave our keys behind, and make peace with the fact that this chapter has come to an end.

It is time for someone else to fill these rooms with laughter, create new traditions, and build a life of their own within these walls.

One of the biggest misconceptions about real estate is that Realtors are supposed to bend over backwards for their clients no matter what.

And the truth is... we do. In the majority of cases.

When a client is reasonable. When there is trust. When they're willing to work alongside us. When they understand that selling a home is a partnership and that our job is to guide, advise, negotiate, and help them achieve their goals. I will bend over backwards for you.

I can't tell you how many times I've stepped into a situation thinking, "Don't worry, I've got this." Or "I will save the day" like some superhero. Because I genuinely love helping people. I love solving problems. I love finding solutions. I love being the person who jumps in when things get complicated and helps make the impossible seem possible.

But here's the part nobody talks about. Realtors are not miracle workers! Sorry, I am not a superhero either. Damn.

We can't control the market. We can't control interest rates. We can't control buyer behaviour. We can't force a home to sell for a number the market won't support.

And we certainly can't help someone who refuses to participate in the plan they hired us to create.

At some point, if our goals no longer align, if every piece of advice is ignored, if trust has gone, or if we're being asked to achieve results without the cooperation required to get there, we have to stop bending.

Sometimes that means having difficult conversations.
And sometimes, yes, it means going our separate ways.

What many people don't realize is that Realtors can end a relationship too.

Not because we don't care. Not because we don't want to help. But because successful real estate transactions require both parties to work together and be on the same page.

I'll always fight for my clients. I'll always show up. I'll always try to find a solution.

But I can't bend forever.
And I can't help someone who won't let me.
