The Greater Toronto Area housing market continued to show signs of improvement in June, with home sales increasing compared to last year while new listings declined. 📈 With market conditions tightening through the spring, the second half of 2026 could bring more competition between buyers and help support renewed price growth.

Here's a little breakdown:

• Last month's sales were 9.4% higher than a year before.
• There were 12.9% fewer homes listed than the previous year.
• The average selling price was $1,058,658, down 3.9% compared to June 2025.

This week reminded me that “home” is about so much more than walls and a roof.

I was helping a couple looking for a place to lease, and after initially losing out on a home they really hoped for, things unexpectedly opened back up and they were able to secure it.

What stood out to me most wasn’t just the house itself, but the story behind it.

Like many people, they don’t have close family nearby. Life can feel heavy when you’re trying to build something in a place where your support system is far away. So instead of trying to carry everything alone, they joined forces with someone close to them to create a home together — sharing responsibilities, support, meals, laughs, and life.

It reminded me of how important community really is.

The Bible says:
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9

Sometimes family isn’t only the people you were born with.
Sometimes it’s the people God places beside you along the way.
