If you're thinking of buying your first home or upgrading, this is the time to do it! Come January 2018, new mortgage rules will be implemented yet again. What does that mean for buyers? It will be much harder to qualify for a mortgage and if you do qualify, the stress test will limit your budget, giving you less choices to choose from or even price you out of the market. For example, If you qualify for a $700k home, come January you will only be qualified for a $500k home.
