When assessing the value of your rental property, these are a few factors you should take into consideration to help you set a competitive price.
1. Location. People often rent for convenience. This means that the closer you are to big box stores, public transportation, and highway access the more desirable your property becomes.
2. Size. Larger families will often pay a premium to accommodate everyone comfortably.
3. Age. What condition is the home in? Does it show well in photos, and viewings.
4. Upgrades. Does your home have a competitive edge in design, or technology upgrades that you could emphasize on to stand out against other homes on the rental market? Use these to your advantage.
