Ha ha! These wild turkeys have been on the move in Hanover this week it seems.
My husband was leaving for work the other morning and snapped this photo! The best thing was my sign was in the background of it so I had to use it!

😎 Or do you like a dark cabinet with either darker tops or lighter tops?

💫 Currently for me, I like a maple wood and/or dark blue coloured cabinet with a lighter top! (Though I have both now, minus the new countertops 😏)

Scammers know that asking for $5 feels a lot less suspicious than asking for $5,000.

You might receive a message saying:

📦 Your package needs a $2.47 customs payment.
💳 Your account has a $4.99 verification fee.
🚗 You owe a small toll charge.
💰 Your refund can't be processed until you pay a small fee.

The amount isn't the point.
The goal is getting you to click.

Before paying anything:
Don't click the link.
Go directly to the company's official website or app.
Never provide banking or personal information through an unexpected link.

And remember:
Urgency is a red flag. Weird URLs are a red flag. Tiny unexpected payments are a red flag.

If something feels off, stop and verify.

There's a fish and chip shop in Neustadt working out of a building that went up in 1858.

The building on Mill Street has been an inn since three years after German settlers founded the village. It's still standing, still an inn, and these days it's Noah's Inn Fish & Chips. Family run, and on a good summer afternoon the street out front fills up.

People order two things over and over. The halibut, which comes in three sizes depending on how committed you are. And the fresh-cut fries beside it. What they keep pointing at is what isn't there. No grease slick, no inch of batter hiding the fish.

Then there's the plot twist in the middle of the menu. Souvlaki, on a pita, with tzatziki. In a German village. On a fish and chips menu. Nobody explains it and nobody needs to.

Neustadt is a good drive on a summer evening. Make it the reason.
