Winter in Canada continues to be a quiet time of the year especially for the local real estate market. The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) says transactions dipped 2.7% in December compared to November, and were down 4.5% compared to a year ago.

But there's some good news! 🎉

"The spring market is now just around the corner, and it is expected to benefit from four years of pent -up demand, as well as interest rates that, at this point, are about as good as they are going to get,” says Valérie Paquin, Chair of CREA. “Barring any further major uncertainty-causing events, that means we should see a more active market this year."
