My view over a lake St George in Killarney provincial park today. Definitely the smoke is impacting this area. Earlier today it had the most eerie feeling as everyone woke. The way the light was had many people sleeping far later than normal which also added surreal feeling

Sometimes life in Muskoka is more than just a physical building with four walls. Sometimes it is having the ability to explore, either once you are here, or when you are trying to find where you need to be.
Many of my clients started out camping here and then deciding that this is where their heart truly belongs.
Today I went to visit a high school classmate who was camping in Algonquin. I have driven past on highway 60 heading towards the West gate numerous times but never had the moment to stop in. Today I did.

What a charming space, fun selection of so many things from clothing to stickers to last minute " Oh my gosh I forgot" items. The staff were so helpful and extremely friendly.

Eight carabiners and 50 ft of reflective cord later ( I hadn't intended on buying a thing but their prices were so good)....

I will definitely be back to check out their cafe at the back of the store because they looked like they had some amazing coffees.

I highly recommend if you are coming north to start to learn about the area and decide what works best for your heart and soul in the Muskoka area you really need to stop in here.

Did I mention there are a full on outfitters where you can do a rentals and plan and entire trip with their expert assistance?

Due to the warming temperatures, melting snow and large amounts of rain, many areas including Huntsville are seen increased water levels and flooding.

Please stay away from the water and ensure your animals in small children do as well.

One thing about living in Muskoka is the colours, the amazing settings, the pure beauty of everyday surroundings.

For years, I have appreciated those who paint watercolour. I have been jealous while I could picture everything in my mind I never had the nerve to pick up a paintbrush.

This year, while in the process of getting my mother's house ready to sell, I found my father's watercolor set from the 1930's. I took it as a sign.

I am not good at this, but in time I will be. I think one has to follow their passion and Muskoka living finds that creative side in all of us.
