One thing about living in Muskoka is the colours, the amazing settings, the pure beauty of everyday surroundings.

For years, I have appreciated those who paint watercolour. I have been jealous while I could picture everything in my mind I never had the nerve to pick up a paintbrush.

This year, while in the process of getting my mother's house ready to sell, I found my father's watercolor set from the 1930's. I took it as a sign.

I am not good at this, but in time I will be. I think one has to follow their passion and Muskoka living finds that creative side in all of us.

The colors are amazing this weekend and the crowds are coming north.

My house, sadly, is on the flight path for Life Flight (Orange) in and out of the Huntsville Hospital. At 4:40 this afternoon they just flew in. My heart is aching for whoever, and their families, that they have come in for .

We love you to visit. We hope you love us so much that you choose to move to this area. Please when you visit be careful. We will love for you to come back again

The one thing about homeownership is there is always something to repair. So far today there was some exterior painting, caulking applications and now stair and railing repairs. Having a variety of tools is always a good thing and getting to use a bunch at once even better!!

The only downside I'm now off to the hardware store to pick up some extra long carriage bolts to finish the project
