Sheila Minten Named Business Person of the Year

This recognition underscores her significant contributions to the business community and her dedication to the betterment of the Kamloops region.

The Chamber’s Business Person of the Year Award, presented by Abbott Wealth Management Inc. - Harbourfront Wealth Management, recognizes remarkable individuals and their civic leadership, positive economic and social impact on the region, and outstanding commitment to the betterment of the community. This year marked the 37th anniversary of the event, with the magic-themed awards gala held at Thompson Rivers University on October 26.

Minten’s accomplishments are an example of excellence, demonstrating her consistent leadership and positive impact in business. Through her active role with local non-profits, as well as the sustainable and creative projects undertaken by Total Concept Developments including The Vista Inn, Fairway 10 at the Dunes, and many others, Sheila has been able to successfully help lead the family business.

“Thank you to those who nominated me and to the Chamber for this honour,” added Sheila. “I look forward to continuing to positively impact our community in the future.”
