BC Assessment has now published the 2026 property assessments — the values are live online and mail notices are being sent to homeowners through January 2026. These numbers reflect what properties would have sold for as of July 1, 2025.

📍 What this means for homeowners:

📉 Some areas — especially parts of the Lower Mainland — are seeing decreases in assessed values compared to last year.

📊 Other regions are flat or slightly up depending on local market trends.

📬 Notices start arriving in mailboxes this month.

👉 Note: An increase in assessed value doesn’t automatically mean higher property taxes — because tax bills also depend on your community’s average change and municipal budgets.
