A visual look at how Canadians relocated during 2020 and 2021. Rising housing costs caused many people to search for cheaper housing while others cashed out and moved to more favourable areas. Remote working became common which led to many searching in rural areas and moving outside the city.

The cities with the highest growth were:
1. Vancouver, BC
2. Ottawa, Ont.
3. Calgary, AB
4. London, Ont.
5. Halifax, NS
6. St. Catharines - Niagara, Ont.
7. Victoria, BC

Market Update For October 2022

Condos and townhome prices seem to be holding steady. We saw single family homes decrease a bit more on the Kelowna side as opposed to West Kelowna (we saw the opposite effect last month)

With increasing interest rates we are seeing single family home prices drop, while those buyers are pushed more towards condos and townhomes. Condo prices are closing the gap on towhomes and some condo owners may soon find themselves trading up to townhomes, which are a similar price point but often come with yard space and a lower strata fee.
