To say Amanda Westrheim is passionate about the Okanagan Valley lifestyle would be a huge understatement. She feels a strong connection to this area with deep family roots and a love for everything this all-season playground has to offer,Amanda at Work from the lush vineyards to the beautiful Lake Okanagan waterfront to the friendly people who call this area home. 'A Place to Call Home' Amanda’s great grandparents immigrated to the town of Vernon from Europe. They built a lakefront cottage that still belongs to her family. Amanda was born in Vancouver, but they visited the Okanagan Valley often and she always looked forward to the trips. When her parents finally decided they’d had enough of the hustle and bustle in the city, there was no question where they would move. Amanda couldn’t have been happier. She’s been proud to call this area home ever since. “I sometimes feel like a tourist myself because I enjoy this lifestyle so much,” Amanda says. “Going to local wine tastings, boating and wakeboarding on the lake in the summertime, snowboarding in the winter—there’s never a shortage of things to do. I’m reminded every day why I love where I live.” 'Do What You Love' For Amanda, living year-round in the Okanagan Valley is a dream come true, which can also be said about her long-running career as a real estate professional. In fact, she found an old home video of herself at her Grade 7 graduation to prove it. When all the other kids wanted to be doctors, firemen and astronauts, Amanda was proclaiming that she wanted to be a REALTOR® when she grew up! When her family was moving, she played the part and did all the research to help find them a new home here in the Valley. Ever since that first foray into real estate as a kid, Amanda’s passion for real estate has never wavered. While still in high school, she began working toward her license and began selling part-time while studying Interior Design at Okanagan College. Amanda absolutely loves what she does and it clearly shows. She’s driven to make a positive difference in the community every day by providing a higher standard of service.
