The cab is on its back and the amount if rust is have to deal with is plentiful. At the base of the A pillar there are several panels that are spot welded together. All of the panels have rust holes, so i have to separate all of them so I can cut out the rust and weld in patch panels. Time consuming, but hey, it has to be done.

November 28, 2025. Paid a stupid amount of money to haul my rusty truck 7 miles from my neighbor's farm to my driveway. Yes, there us a significant amount of rust, as shown in the pictures. Not only rust, but also an accumulation of bumps, bruises, and possibly whiskey dents, lol.

September 18, 2025. My neighbor had mentioned he had a 1949 Mercury half ton pickup he was thinking of selling. Since I had previously owned 3 of that style and vintage of truck in the past, my ears perked up and my curiosity was piqued. Irv took me for a drive to his family farm and showed me the truck. I was smitten...of course... and it was not long before I handed him many $100 bills to make the truck mine.

Well, I have been out of the real estate business for over a year now, so it is time to change this page to reflect what I am doing with my time now a days. This is advance notice so that you can unfollow me if you are not interested in anything but real estate. In that regard, this page has been the WORST real estate page for the last year or so, lol.
In the next day (or week or month) I will be changing this page to report on my 1949 Mercury Pickup build. If that does NOT interest you, please feel free to leave. I won't hold it against you.
Real estate was an awesome gig and it lasted almost 20 years. Best job I ever had when sales were happening, and the worst job when they were not. In sales, if you don't sell, you don't eat.
So, goodbye real estate page and hello (soon) 1949 Mercury M47 build. Not sure what I will name this page yet, but it will be about the goings on in my shop.
