Feeling grateful. 🥹❤️🥰

Grateful for the homes that leased, sold and were purchased by my incredible clients in the last few weeks...that means I did my job. But more than anything, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a little part of your lives during this time of transition. From all the prepping, laughter, excitement, signed agreements, through the worries about the unknown, fears that inevitably creep up...right into the relief, joy, and varying emotions that come with beginning a brave new chapter while simultaneously ending one. I get to be there. Through all of that, with all of you.

It's the best part of my job.

Not your typical Sunday! But what an incredible Sunday it was. Spent the day with a room full of beautiful, inspiring women at the Woman UP event in Uxbridge. A day full of shared stories and wisdoms, education, yummy food, meditations, hypnosis, laughter, tears, real connection and most importantly...dancing (with bubbles)!

Thank you, our dear Karin, for allowing us to experience this special day. Spending it with Lisa and Christine was truly a gift.

Big shout out to Dr. Leigha Saunders for putting together this incredible event and everyone involved. 🙏

How did you all spend your weekend?

Did you dance your way into Monday too?

Yesterday I attended the Truth and Reconciliation event held at the Civic Centre in partnership with the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation.

It was really beautiful.

I've never been able to walk away from this event with completely dry eyes. This year was not an exception. But my tears were inspired by such an overwhelm of profound gratitude, relief, compassion, and love.

Because it was so obvious that everyone in attendance was gathered here in unity and love. One the speakers, Matthew, shared about the beautiful history of the Indigenous peoples and even stories that wouldn't be found in history books, stories shared with him from his own family. He went on to admit that many of his people never reclaimed their culture and languages after being stripped of it all those years back. A reminder of how actions continue to have a profound ripple effect long after they are executed.

But so are actions centered in love.

Today, Matthew, along with others is working to reintroduce the cultures, true history, and languages that were not too long ago horrificly stolen, back to the youth of the original peoples of the Americas. There was a young man with him at the ceremony, performing a traditional drumming song for us all while we were invited to participate in a healing to***co prayer. My heart felt so full to be a part of and witness to this ceremony of coming together in peace, love and reconciliation.

I also learned about a man by the name of George Catlin during this event. He was a lawyer, painter and author who traveled across North America in the 1830s, visiting over fifty tribes to paint portaits of Native Americans and document their traditions and way of life before it vanished. Works we still have access to today. How cool is that? I downloaded one of his books on my Kindle last night for only $0.99, called My Life Among the Indians. Thought I'd share in case anyone is interested in learning more about our brothers and sisters.
