🐾 If you’re new around here, you might not know that when I’m not helping people find homes, I’m often opening mine to animals who need a little extra love and care. ❤️
I’m a veterinary technician by trade, and emergency medicine has been part of my life for over a decade. For more than 15 years, I’ve also fostered neonatal kittens and puppies—so many that I’ve lost count!
Our home is often full of our own fur babies and fosters who have found their way to us through rescues or owners who could no longer care for them. Some arrive critically ill, and I do everything I can to give them a chance. There have been many Hail Marys and moments of throwing the whole book at them to hope that something works. Some thrive, and heartbreakingly, some do not. But I’ve always believed that if by fate they found me, they deserve a shot. 🤍
This summer, our house has been full of love with Crimson and Primrose, our one-day-old bottle feeders who are now FOUR MONTHS OLD! We love them so much, and they have grown into the best puppies. 🥹
Today, another little soul found his way to us.
**Meet our newest little fighter… name still to be determined!** 🐶
He was purchased from a “breeder,” is only eight weeks old, and is now fighting for his life against parvovirus. He is critically ill with vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and dangerously abnormal electrolyte levels.
He is in isolation receiving IV fluids, electrolyte and glucose support, around-the-clock warming, antibiotics, pain medication, anti-nausea medication, and more. His care plan can change hour by hour as we fight to give him the best possible chance.
His prognosis is guarded, but he is warm, loved and has the absolute BEST team fighting alongside him. ❤️
