From December 2024 to December 2025, average home prices are down about 4% overall — with condos seeing the biggest adjustment.

📉 Price changes by home type:
• Detached homes: ⬇️ 3.7%
• Semi-detached homes: ⬇️ 4.1%
• Townhomes: ⬇️ 4.3%
• Apartment-style condos: ⬇️ 7.4%

As detached, semi-detached, and townhomes become a bit more affordable, buyers are clearly showing where their preferences lie. 🏡

If you’ve been waiting for more breathing room in the market, this shift is worth paying attention to.

It’s about damn time.

The Bank of Canada finally cut rates today — dropping the key rate 25 bps to 2.50%.

- Inflation is cooling (they say)
- Economy is slowing (job losses + weak GDP)
- Canadians need relief

What it means:
📉 Cheaper borrowing
🏡 Mortgage + debt relief (gradually)
⚠️ Risks still ahead (trade tensions, sticky inflation)

This move was long overdue — but it’s a start.

Condo prices are finally holding steady 📈 — up 4.2% in August after dipping 4.4% the month before. Other property types are still sliding, but we might be seeing the first hints of a fall market comeback 🍂🏡 Maybe it was just too hot to house-hunt in July & August? 😅
