There will now be 50 new weekly train trips on the Kitchener line, "bringing late-night weekday service," a release said. The changes take effect Aug. 31

Metrolinx will add more weekday rush hour GO train service along the Kitchener line. Trains will also be added outside of rush-hour along the line. While the news is welcome, some critics say the government needs to address a timeline for when there will be two-way, all-day GO service.

Celebrating its 29th year, this event has grown into one of Canada’s largest street parties. Beginning in Victoria Park at 2 p.m., approximately 140 classic cars will be on display for a show and shine.

Admission is free and attendees can purchase food and drink from the food trucks that will be on location.

After the cars are parked, the bands will kick into action with tributes to The Who (The Wholigans) and Jimi Hendrix (Wild T and The Spirit).
