A bright, comfortable and completely self- contained private one bedroom garden level suite with your own parking spot, keypad entrance, sunroom, patio and flat shady grassy area surrounded by Arbutus and forest. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you will need and many unexpected touches. The kitchen has an apartment size fridge, freezer and stove, microwave, and Keurig, plus all the essentials and more for your stay. It has a large kitchen island with seating as well as a dining table and chairs. Gaze out at the relaxing view of the forest from the spacious, bright bedroom on a brand new luxurious Comfort Tech Serene Foam queen size bed fitted with silky soft cotton linens. Then draw the black-out blinds for the best sleep of your life. For your convenience there is a dresser and closet with plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. We provide a baby change pad and cover to use on the dresser if needed. The living room is a bright, comfortable place to relax and has a smart tv with Netflix and Prime TV as well as many other apps. You have your very own in-suite washer and dryer as well as an adjacent full size bathroom with a tub and shower. We offer 2 single Nova Foam foldout beds for kids, a toddler foam bed upon request, pack 'n play, booster seat, change pad, books, games and toys as well as children's tableware. The suite is best suited for one couple but can accommodate a small family with up to 2 children. While we are child-friendly accommodation, the suite is not "child-proof" so we don't have covers on plugs, child locks on cupboards or furniture secured to the walls.

Today I’m sharing something very close to my heart.

Guinness was more than our family dog. For 15½ years, he was my constant companion, my gentle shadow, and a big part of the life we built here.

He spent countless days enjoying the quiet, the gardens, the sunshine, and the peacefulness of this little corner of the world. He welcomed guests with his calm presence and was always happiest simply being near the people he loved.

I recently came across these words, “I Loved You Best,” they capture so much of what it feels like to say goodbye to a beloved dog.

Although Guinness is no longer here beside me, I know his pawprints are woven into this place forever. ❤️🐾

So today, I’m sharing this in his memory, for anyone who has ever loved a dog deeply enough to know that they never truly leave us.

They simply change landscapes.

One of those little West Coast gems that feels like you’ve escaped somewhere far away — but it’s only 12 minutes from us! 🤍
The Upper Goldstream Falls hike winds through beautiful forest, with towering trees, mossy trails and the reward of this gorgeous waterfall at the end. 🌿💧 And on a warm day, the quiet swimming hole below the falls is the perfect spot for a refreshing dip. 🏊‍♀️

A little mother-daughter adventure in Sidney today 💕🌊
We explored the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, wandered along Beacon Avenue, popped into some cute shops (including a kids’ bookstore 📚), and made our way down to Tulista Park.
Then we found the perfect spot to sit by the water before enjoying a scenic waterfront lunch at The Surly Mermaid 🧜‍♀️☀️
