My Remembrance Day To Remember

Lest We Forget 🙏❤️ 11:11

I will never forget the sights and sounds I witnessed first hand at the Cloverdale Cenotaph. They will stay with me for the rest of my days, in such a good way, especially the magnificent energy throughout.

It was Remembrance Day 2018 when I was honoured and privileged to be part of the ceremony, being able to lay a wreath as President of the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce.

It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done!

It was such a different feeling going to this ceremony. It was something I hadn’t experienced much. I found the formality, the pageantry, the dedication and the devotion to be breathtaking. It was definitely one of those things where you had to be there and feel it, to get the full impact.

I purposely came down early to take photographs of the people, the atmosphere and the ceremony itself. I saw many familiar faces of friends, acquaintances and dignitaries all carrying such a great sense of honour and respect for our armed forces past and present.

I will forever be grateful I got this rare opportunity to be inside the ropes.
It truly was special.
