Noise in condominium buildings can be a source of frustration, however the CAT has repeatedly ruled that the noise of ordinary living does not rise to being 'unreasonable'. In this case, the condominium took several steps to determine if there was any unreasonable noise, found none, and closed the file. The complainant owner took the issue to the CAT, and found themselves liable for the costs to the condominium.

At BPM, we always try to be fair, reasonable, and conciliatory with any owner's request. Situations like the one described below are preventable with proper and appropriate behavior from both the managing firm and the individual condominium unit owner. Working together is always better.
