Here's the latest data national data.

As per The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA):

"National home sales rose 1.4% from February to March 2023. This small rise built on an increase of the same size in February, marks the first back-to-back monthly gains in more than a year. However, despite a recent increase in home sales activity, year-over-year transactions came in 34.4% below a historically strong March 2022."

April's post cards have landed.

This is my 24th monthly mail out campaign (I know because I keep a detailed .xls!)

Every month, I send out an old fashioned post card (different picture/wording, etc) to every unit within two different condo buildings (serviced by the same local Canada Post depot) in the area.

This old fashioned, down-to-earth touch piece has proven very successful... and reminds me quite clearly where the term "junk mail" comes from (as I fish them out of the recycling bin to count how many are thrown out each month -- all in the name of good data).

The latest information from the Canadian real estate association (CREA) regarding February 2023's data versus a year ago:

"While national home sales activity is down 40% year-over-year, CREA’s most recent data suggests we may be at a turning point. February 2023 saw the biggest month-over-month gain since last year, with Canadian home sales up 2.3% from January 2023. Gains were led by the Greater Toronto Area and Greater Vancouver."
