Applications are open for the 2026 Tree Canopy Conservation Program.
Funding is available to help care for mature trees (40 cm+), and you don’t need to live at the property to apply.

Eligible work includes practical tree care that improves health and stability, such as structural pruning, removal of dead or hazardous branches, cabling and bracing, soil or root care, and pest management. These proactive measures go beyond basic trimming and help extend the life of mature trees. The program reimburses eligible costs up to a maximum of $1,000 per tree.
