What happened in the London, Ontario real estate market in September 2026?

September brought 561 home sales in London and St. Thomas, up 5.3% from September 2025. Buyers continued to have meaningful choice, with 3,335 active listings and 5.9 months of inventory.

For anyone looking at London, Ontario homes for sale, the key message is that the market remains selective. The average sale price was $611,509 and the median sale price was $560,000. Well-priced, well-presented homes can still perform strongly, but buyers have more time to compare options and evaluate value.

SEPTEMBER 2026 MARKET UPDATE 🏡📊

September’s numbers are in, and we’re taking a closer look at what’s happening across London & St. Thomas and Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg & Area.

In London & St. Thomas, the average sale price reached $611,509, up from $590,550 in August. Sales also increased to 561 homes, while 1,615 new listings came to market.

In Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg & Area, the average sale price reached $636,664, with 154 homes sold and 343 new listings — both up from August.

When we look year-over-year, the numbers tell another part of the story. Prices, sales and inventory continue to vary not only by region, but by individual communities within each market.

For us, that’s why looking beyond the headlines is so important. The market can look very different depending on where you’re buying or selling, your price range and the type of property.
