Monday, May 20 is the only day backyard fireworks are permitted to be set off this long weekend.

You can host your own backyard fireworks display between sundown and 11 p.m.

Fireworks are not permitted in City parks or on City streets.

Save your plant pots this summer! ♻️ Plastics used in the horticulture industry can sometimes be hard to get recycled properly. That's why together with the London Environmental Network we're hosting a container bring back weekend here at Heeman's! 🤩 Friday, September 6th to Sunday, September 8th between 11am-3pm here at Heeman's we'll be collecting and sorting.

All proceeds received from 'selling' this plastic back to a producer will be donated to the London Environmental Network to continue its work protecting our environment and building a more sustainable city.

Because not all municipalities can recycle all these plastics, we're hoping that you can hold onto your pots, tags and cell packs this summer and bring them back to us in September for their new life! 🙌

Port Stanley is the best place to view the solar eclipse in all its glory!

Port Stanley is directly in the path of totality for the April 8, 2024 eclipse, the last total solar eclipse in Canada until 2044 - so you don’t want to miss this one!

Why not extend your adventure and discover what Port Stanley has to offer? Before and after the eclipse take a stroll along the pier, try a new restaurant, and do some shopping!

We recommend arriving early and planning to stay longer, as we are expecting a large influx of visitors. Reminder to obey parking and road signs, and watch for pedestrians.
