We officially close this weekend for 2026! Then we BUILD 🎉🎉🎉

We will be building our second A Frame, The Raven, for us to live in full time, so that The Mallard can stay open all year round. The calendar is currently open in Feb of 2027, but we may open in January if all goes well!

Bookings are already coming in for 2027, so don’t wait 😍

First babies of the year!! This lovely mama and her man come up on the deck every day, and sometimes she will come in the front door if I leave it open. Today she brought 13 of her littles with her 😍

The loons are potentially nesting in the bay 😍😍 Loons have legs and feet that are positioned quite far back, so they generally cannot walk on land. They will come up a few feet from the shore line to lay eggs, so I’m hoping that’s what they’re doing here!

For anyone looking to book for 2026! 2027 summer dates are open, but keep in mind we will be opening much earlier due to the house being built this year. We don’t yet know the exact dates, but if you’re thinking of a winter or spring booking, let me know and I’ll fill you in!
