Today I sat down with a client in his mid-60s to go through the listing agreement.
We have a 13-page explanation document, and he was the only one I’ve seen who read it carefully — word by word. He asked many questions, and I took the time to walk through each one with him.
At the end, he told me this has been his home for most of his life… and that he felt nervous and anxious about selling.
I told him not to worry — that I’m always here if he needs anything.
When he said “thank you,” I really felt the weight of this job.
What we do is never just about buying or selling.
It’s about trust, guidance, and being there for people during important moments in their lives.
Sometimes, what stays with you isn’t the deal — it’s a simple “thank you.”
