This week, let‘s hear from Melandro Quilatan, the talented creative director at Tomas Pearce, sharing what he loves the most in the designing process of Vendôme Markham.

“My favourite part of designing the common areas for Vendôme, generally speaking, is the volumes of spaces that we have, the generous square footages the architects have given us. We were able to work with the heights, the widths, and fill it with some beautiful inspiration from traditional French architecture. That’s why we have ceiling archways, colonnades; we got coffered ceilings. The two-storey lobby in Vendôme boasts a groin-vaulted ceiling which is spectacular. We’ve got gold interior jambs to accentuate the archways. And the center focus is the chandelier. It will be a custom commissioned piece with glimmer and shine at the center of the reception area.“
