DR.STEVE GUPTA AWARDED THE 2021 ORDER OF ONTARIO: THE PROVINCE'S HIGHEST CIVILIAN HONOUR

It is with great pride and pleasure that I announce to you all today that our Executive Chairman, Dr. Steve Gupta, has been awarded The Order of Ontario.

The Order of Ontario is the province’s highest civilian honour. This is awarded to an Ontarian who has shown the highest level of excellence and achievement in any field, and whose impact has left a lasting legacy in our province, in our country, and around the world.

On Friday, November 4, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario appointed Dr. Gupta to the Order of Ontario.

I have watched my father, since my early childhood years, work so hard to build this company from one gas station in Port Hope, Ontario to what is today - an award-winning organization with 25 hotels and counting across Ontario and Quebec. He also took the leap to residential real estate and redefined development with two high-rise residential and one commercial property in our portfolio and five more high-rise residential projects under development.

Moreover, I also watched him give back, not only to our community but to the world. He has sat on numerous governing boards including Centenary Hospital/Rouge Valley Health System, Ontario College of Pharmacists, and the University of Toronto, to name a select few. He also has built and created Eye Camps in rural India, where over 50,000 patients have been treated for eye disease, given life-changing surgeries, and more. He helped Gujarat after the devastating earthquake and built sanitation systems for girls' schools. He always made it a priority to give back and selflessly help others, whether it's via philanthropy, mentorship, or with his time.

He is an inspiration, a mentor, and a true example of humble excellence. Dad - We are so proud of you!

What an incredible honour to be invited to the 's Global Initiative that took place in New York City. This conference united us all with a common goal: Doing good for the world. Together, we tackled world issues like women’s equality, education, famine, and help for refugees.

I was moved by and her courage and determination to help women achieve education. I was inspired by who spoke about building universities in Africa to provide students with opportunity. I was touched by the grace and power of of Jordan who spoke about equality and opportunity for refugees. When we heard from President of Ukraine , I was both heartbroken for Ukraine and felt empowered by the strength of the President's leadership and the strength of the Ukrainian people.

When I launched , my goal was just this, to spread love and kindness with the world. We have so much more work to do and now I'm more inspired than ever!

" I am so excited to share with you today that I am proudly assuming the position of Chairwoman and Ambassadress of The Gupta Group In my new role, I will be leading strategic planning and of course, philanthropic initiatives across all of the company's divisions. This new position will allow me to find new growth opportunities for our company for both the Canadian economy and globally, while continuing to support philanthropic activities- all of which are very near and dear to my heart.

Thank you to my dad, Dr. Steve Gupta, for the mentorship and guidance you've shared with me over the years. The Gupta Family Foundation is working alongside the Consulate General of India-Apoorva Srivastava, Red Cross India and the Government of India to help India provide something as simple as taking a breath.

The world is fighting a silent war and India is losing its battle every day. The second most populous country in the world, India has reached over 300,000 cases of covid daily.

Due to lack of infrastructure, Indians are going to hospitals, looking for oxygen assistance, looking for medical aid and being turned away. The only way that we as mankind can get out of this pandemic is by joining hands, joining forces, and giving help to those in need.
