Story time !

If you’re a landlord you have to read this .

When I listed this property last week we got 33 showings and 5 offers in total. Easy deal right ? Nope, not this one .

For each one of the offers we had to review each potentials tenants documents , employment letter , pay stubs, credit report , make sure it’s all authentic . While we are doing that , we came across 2 fake documents . Yes , fake documents . Everything seemed legit until we dug deeper . Those two applications were automatically rejected .

If we didn’t go the extra length of verifying and checking , our client would’ve been stuck with an unqualified tenant and only God knows how that would have ended .

The Moral of the story is take your time with each application , ask the right questions to make sure you choose the right tenant .
