As we head into Labour Day weekend, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer with us at Big Mink Getaway. 🤍

We’re so grateful for another beautiful season filled with families making memories on the lake, and for all of the wonderful guests who treated our little piece of paradise like their own.

This summer was an extra special one for our family as we welcomed our newest little addition. 🥹💙 Needless to say, it’s been a summer we’ll never forget.

Wishing all of our past and future guests a beautiful Labour Day weekend and hoping you’re soaking up every last bit of summer. ☀️🌊

With gratitude,
Ashley & Lee

✨ Little Adventures Await ✨
One of the sweetest parts of cottage life is stumbling upon nature’s hidden treasures. If you’re lucky, you might just discover wild berries along the trails—juicy, sun-kissed, and perfect for snacking.

We’ve always dreamed of waking up to the lake view from bed, so we finally flipped the bedrooms around to make it happen 🛏️🌊
We moved the crib downstairs and unstacked the bunkbeds — just a few little changes to make things cozier and easier after long, joy-filled days as a family ☀️👣💛

It already feels more like home 🏡

Before the cannonballs and chaos… it’s just you, your coffee, and the calm. A quiet reward for the one who made it all happen. Early mornings at the cottage hit different here.

🌿 A hidden gem revealed 🌸

While we were doing some weeding today, we started uncovering rocks… and as we kept going, more appeared—until this sweet heart-shaped garden revealed itself. Years of overgrowth had hidden it, but it’s now breathing again. 💚

We cleared it out, planted wildflower seeds, and are hoping this little patch becomes a haven for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds this summer.

Can’t wait to see what blooms here at Big Mink 🌼🦋🐝
