Dec 19 update
Update December 19:
After a lot of hard work my brother in law, Mike Goetz, has made their home in the “red zone” habitable. Water was turned on Friday, due to the dedication of the City of Merritt employees, and they are now in the “green zone”.
Mike wanted me to give a big shout out to Brian and Cory from Copper Valley Mechanical for going above and beyond to install the new furnace and hot water tank destroyed by the flood.
Jordan, Hailey and Brenda are back at home now since last Tuesday. Hailey was thrilled to join her friends and teacher at Collettville school. Jordan will be returning to work soon. They are beginning the long process of healing.
Jordan and Hailey are spending the Christmas holidays with family and giving thanks to everyone who has made this difficult time a little easier through kind words, thoughts, prayers and generosity with the gofundme donations.
Ember will forever be our little angel and never forgotten.
Again thank you all for everything and may the Christmas sea*on bring you love and peace. Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏻
Update: Jordan and Hailey are under the care of my sister Brenda and staying with family in Vancouver while healing from their injuries.
The family home is in the “red zone” along the Coldwater river but luckily the damage is minimal compared to many. With some elbow grease, new hot water tank and furnace they will be home in a few days.
The outpouring of love, prayers, kind words and generosity has been overwhelming and there are no words to express gratitude. 🙏💕
