🌟August Cultural Icon – Kim Shaw🌟

When we asked Kim what drives her, the answer wasn't about real estate at all. At its heart, her "why" is simple:

💬"I believe the best way to build a meaningful life is to show up for others. Whether it's family, community, clients, or colleagues, I want to make a positive difference wherever I can."

Looking back over Kim's life, it's clear she has been living that purpose for a very long time.❤️

As the oldest of five children, Kim naturally stepped into a role of helping her mom and looking out for her siblings. That sense of responsibility soon grew into organizing school committees, fundraising, and finding ways to make a difference. It wasn't something she had to learn. It was simply who she was.

That same heart for service has carried into adulthood. Through Rotary International, 100 Women Who Care Greater Saint John, her role on the Board of Rocmaura Nursing Home, and her willingness to volunteer at Keller Williams and New Brunswick Real Estate Association events, Kim has consistently chosen to invest her time in making her community stronger. 🤝✨

When we asked Terri, of Roberts Realty, about Kim, she described someone who is loyal, kind, dependable, and always prepared. A teammate who never stops learning, who quietly shows up, who holds herself to a high standard, and who gives generously of her time. She smiled as she said, "I can't imagine our team without her." I think that's one of the greatest compliments anyone can receive. ❤️

Kim shared that real estate will be her final career.🏡 We don't think that's by accident. It allows her to combine her love of homes with what she's always loved most: helping people. 💕

Kim, thank you for reminding us that culture is built by people who consistently choose to show up, serve others, and make their communities a little better every single day.

This month, it is our honour to celebrate our July Cultural Icon, Megan Copp.

When we asked Megan what drives her, she answered with exactly the mix of humour and honesty that makes her who she is. She joked that it might be dopamine, unresolved childhood trauma, an ADHD brain, and an inability to leave a problem alone.

It made us smile, but what came next spoke volumes.

Megan believes the only way we move forward, as individuals, as families, as businesses, and as communities, is by investing in one another.
She shared something she often told her yoga students: "Not all movement is linear."

How true is that?

Growth isn't always obvious. Sometimes people need someone willing to stand beside them through the messy middle, before progress can even be seen.

That is exactly what Megan does.

Then she shared one sentence that, to us, captures the heart of who she is:
"I have no interest in being the best in my community. I simply want to be the best for my community."

That isn't just a beautiful thought. It is servant leadership.

At Keller Williams, our culture is built by people who choose to invest in others, encourage one another, and lead with generosity. Megan lives those values every day.

Megan, thank you for reminding us that leadership isn't always found in the spotlight. More often, it's found quietly walking beside someone until they find their own strength.
