Sales were down on the year over year basis with a higher number of listings increasing choices and options but high borrowing costs and uncertain economic conditions refrained buyers to convert their housing needs into demands.
At the same time there are positive signs for affordability and demand are upwards trends in employment and interest rate steady with a potential rate cuts during the year 2024.

Inflation and interest rate hike is not the matter of long term rather is the matter of short term.
The real long term challenge is overwhelming demand especially demand to own and live and in particular to rent and live contrary to this scenario, Supply is not meeting the pace of this demand because of internal population growth, new comers either immigrants, students, visitors or the workforce on work permits.

During the Month of October 2022 Greater Golden Horseshoe Area and especially Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Real Estate market remained tight in terms of number sold but declining trend in the number of new listings comparing with September 2022 despite an increasing interest rate since January 2022.
