REAL ESTATE MARKET AFTER RECENT INTEREST RATE CUT

On December 11, 2024, the Bank of Canada (BOC) has cut benchmark interest rate by 50 basic points to 3.25 %. Some lenders/banks have already followed suit by lowering their mortgage rates.

It is expected, BOC will further lower rate in January 2025 to re-ignite the economy further. General consensus among real estate specialists and economists is that the real estate market will warm up in early summer 2025.
Any further drop in the interest rate early next year will stimulate the market in 2025 and further in2026.
Anyhow, buyers have welcome recent cut as market is showing pick up signs slowly. December is a sluggish month due to holiday season.

Daffodils and Me:

I read an enchanting and unforgettable poem, "Daffodils" in my early boyhood written by a poet par excellence, famous for his romantic poetry-William Wordsworth. Since then, every year in early spring, I remember that poem and enjoy reading it again and again, looking at daffodils planted in my garden.

"I wandered lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils
Besides the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze................
For oft, when on my couch I lie,
In vacant or in a pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye,
Which is the bliss of solitude:
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dance with the daffodils"
