๐Ÿ’ก Why it matters:
The N12 form is not just paperwork, it's a legally binding notice under Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act. Landlords must give at least 60 days' notice before the end of a rental period and must either compensate the tenant with one monthโ€™s rent or offer another suitable unit. This ensures tenants aren't left scrambling without recourse.

Improper use of Form N12 can result in serious legal consequences, including orders to pay compensation to the tenant or fines under the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB).
