TREB Stats for September 2020 are in! A new record for the month has been reported and home sales were up by 42.3 percent compared to last year, at this time.

A record third quarter, sales through the first nine months of 2020 were up by approximately one percent compared to the same period in 2019. “Improving economic conditions and extremely low borrowing costs sustained record-level sales in September, as we continued to account for the substantial amount of pent-up demand that resulted from the spring downturn. Further improvements in the economy, including job growth, would support strong home sales moving forward. However, it will be important to monitor the trajectory of COVID-19 cases, the related government policy response, and the impact on jobs and consumer confidence,” said TREB President, Ms. Patel.

Here is some interesting information on this months stats.

There has been a 29.5% increase of Sales for the month of July (11,081), which is a record for the month of July. (July 2019-8,555) Usually we would see a decrease of sales as family goes on vacation, trips etc... But because of the Covid-19, people can't travel so I believe it to have caused this increase.

The price from July 2019 to July 2020 has been an increase of 16.5%. The selling price from last month, June, has seen an increase of 5.5%
