The Bank of Canada has held its key interest rate at 2.25% for the sixth consecutive time.
Governor Tiff Macklem noted that Canada's economy continues to improve and inflation is moving steadily toward the Bank's 2% target. Keeping the rate unchanged is intended to provide stability while supporting sustainable economic growth.
