A necessary change….this is a letter that was sent to all clients. An immediate change of brokerage below…

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful summer weather.
As you may already know through news and social media outlets, iPro Realty Ltd., Brokerage was involved in a scandal that has plagued our Real Estate Industry here in Ontario. A Real Estate Brokerage's #1 responsibility/duty is to protect all of our clients' deposit money by holding these funds in trust to be allocated for each of our transactions at time of closing. The owners breached their duty by misappropriating these funds. $10+ Million was found missing during an audit with RECO - Real Estate Council of Ontario, our disciplinary body that is designed to keep brokerages compliant. The Brokerage was officially shut down by RECO on August 19 2025. RECO is working to return these deposits to iPro's clients on a timely basis, allowing these transactions to close.
Firstly, I am thankful I did not have any deposits from my clients inside of iPro's trust account at the time of this scandal. I am saddened by the domino effect that it has caused many unsuspecting people who were affected; including direct clients & their respective Realtors, Cooperating Brokerage Realtors who brought buyers, Supporting Lawyers, Mortgage Brokers, Listing Contractors, Support Staff & any other linked transactions that may be delayed or cancelled.
I have many financial hats with respect to our family businesses and personal matters. Money is one of everyone's most treasured resources during our lifetime and this breach is completely unforgivable; in my opinion.
We were misled by one of the owners on August 14th in a Zoom Meeting and later that same day discovered the scandal, together with you on news outlets.
My immediate reaction was to research best replacements in order to hold my license in Ontario. On Monday August 18th I emailed iPro my resignation letter and signed up with Royal LePage Our Neighbourhood Realty Inc., Brokerage.
I started my career with Royal LePage and felt it to be one of the safest in the industry. At this time of volatility in the markets, I feel my choice is a secure one.
